Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Cove VPN application and any related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by Visible Media Co LLC ("Cove," "we," "us," or "our"), a Delaware limited liability company.

By downloading, installing, or using Cove, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 18 years old to use Cove. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

2. Description of the Service

Cove is an iPhone application that provides a personal VPN (Virtual Private Network) service. When connected, Cove routes your internet traffic through our servers to mask your IP address and encrypt your internet connection.

Cove offers multiple protection "modes" (including Everyday, Safe Dating, Night Out, Hide from Ex, and Travel) tailored to different real-world scenarios. Cove also offers a free safety-score quiz that does not require an account.

The Service is currently available on iPhone only and is provided in the United States.

3. Account Registration

To use the VPN, you must create an account using either an email address and password or Sign in with Apple. You may take the safety-score quiz without an account; saving or sharing your score requires an account.

You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate and current information when creating your account.
• Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• All activity that occurs under your account.
• Notifying us immediately at sebastian@visiblemediaco.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

You may not share your account credentials with others.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

Free trial. New users receive a 7-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically begin and you will be charged.

Plans:

• Monthly — $9.99 per month, billed monthly through Apple.
• Annual — $79.99 per year, billed annually through Apple.

Billing through Apple. All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store In-App Purchase system. Cove does not directly handle your payment method. By subscribing, you also agree to Apple's terms for In-App Purchases.

Auto-renewal. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period at the then-current price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.

Price changes. We reserve the right to change subscription prices. We will provide at least 30 days' notice of any price increase, and Apple will notify you before any renewal at the new price.

5. Safety Score

The Cove safety-score quiz is a free educational tool. Results are estimates based on your answers, not a professional security or safety assessment. Cove makes no guarantee that following or not following any recommendation will prevent harm. The score is intended to help you make more informed decisions about your digital exposure.

You may share your score voluntarily. We do not share your score with anyone else without your action.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Cove only for lawful purposes. You may not use Cove to:

• Engage in any illegal activity, including but not limited to copyright infringement, fraud, hacking, or harassment.
• Send spam, malware, or other harmful content.
• Conduct port scanning, network probing, denial-of-service attacks, or any attack against any system.
• Generate or distribute child sexual abuse material or any content that exploits minors.
• Circumvent geo-restrictions in violation of a third-party service's terms, where doing so constitutes a legal violation.
• Place unreasonable or disproportionate load on our infrastructure.
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially distribute access to your Cove account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts found in violation of these Terms without prior notice.

7. Logging and Privacy

Cove maintains operational logs necessary to run a safe, reliable service — including connection events, device model, country-level location at sign-in, and monthly bandwidth totals. Cove does not log the websites you visit, the apps you open, or the content of your traffic.

Our full data practices — what we collect, why, and how long we keep it — are described in detail in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, technical issues, or factors outside our control.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service or any part of it at any time with reasonable notice. In the event of full discontinuation, we will notify you and provide a pro-rated refund for any unused prepaid subscription period where legally permitted.

9. Intellectual Property

Cove and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Visible Media Co LLC and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without our prior written permission.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

Using a VPN enhances your privacy but does not make you completely anonymous or immune to all security threats. Cove is one tool — not a complete security solution. You are responsible for your own online behavior and for following other reasonable safety practices.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Visible Media Co LLC, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your use of the Service in a manner not authorized by these Terms.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court, except that either party may seek relief in small claims court for disputes within that court's jurisdiction.

Class action waiver. You agree to resolve disputes only on an individual basis and not as part of any class, consolidated, or representative action.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service and cancel your subscription before the changes take effect.

15. Termination

You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service immediately and without prior notice if we determine, in our sole discretion, that you have violated these Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service immediately ceases. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) will survive.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Cove regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force.
